Refund Policy

Our Guarantee

We guarantee that all Annuals, Perennials, Fresh Flowers, and Trees and Shrubs sold by Hickey's Greenhouses are in healthy condition at the time of sale. 

Annuals & Perennials

We do not offer warranty or exchanges on Annuals or Perennials. 

Trees and Shrubs

We offer a 48-hour exchange for Trees and Shrubs. They must come back in their original container and condition. Exchanges will only be provided to customers who have their paid invoice or sales receipt. 

Trees and Shrubs purchased at Hickey's Greenhouses (verifiable with receipt or paid invoice), which have received reasonable standard of care in accordance with our directions for care, have the following guarantee:

• We agree to replace any tree or shrub purchased from Hickey's Greenhouses within one (1) calendar year, if it does not survive that year (year begins at date of purchase). If it is over wintered during that time, it is only subject to 50% of the original purchase price.

Specialty Orders

Any item(s) purchased as a special order is not subject to any discounts or promotions.

We define special orders as any item(s) purchased for a customer that we do not carry in-stock.

Hard goods, giftware and Christmas items

We offer a 30-day return or exchange on all house wares and giftware. Manufacturer warranty applies to those items that have it.

We do not offer any exchanges or refunds on Christmas items after December 6. 

EXCEPTIONS (not warrantied)

• The tree or shrub has not been planted in the ground (i.e., was left in its pot);
• Was grown under an overhang;
• Was damaged by an act of God (i.e., wind exceeding 140kms/hr., lightening, hail, freezing rain, or prolonged drought)
• Plants that were transplanted after they were originally planted (i.e., they were planted and then moved to a different location)

We do NOT guarantee: 

• Annuals
• Perennials
• Rose bushes
• Seeds and bulbs
• Specials or sale items 
• House plants

All claims under this guarantee must be accompanied by the original paid invoice or sales receipt. No exceptions.

The failed product must also be made available to Hickey's Greenhouses' staff for inspection before any claims can be processed.
